Zeph - Before leaving Oklahoma we’d arranged for Todd Y to fly out and do this show with us and it went well.
Carol - this show was o.k. we opened for pansy division. Todd came out and played with us. we are sick of playing.
Todd - The guys asked me if I wanted to come out and play this show with them. I think they were probably kind of half-serious because it was such short notice, but I was all about it. I bought a plane ticket that day. It was me, Angela my girlfriend at the time, and Damon Cook and we all stayed with Matt and Carol in their tiny apartment in Boston. They were great hosts. They took us sight seeing, thrift store shopping, and to dinner at a vietnamese restaurant. It was snowing and it was fucking cold. The night of the show we went to the Middle east and ate gyros and watched Allen Iverson on TV. I think it was his rookie season with the Afro and the gold chain necklaces. We played at TT bears and I think the show went well. I was bummed there weren’t more shows to play.
I didn’t realize this was the last Chevy Heston show of that era. I’m honored to have been able to close it out with these guys. Chevy was one of the best bands ever. The first time I heard Destroy I was 21 years old and had just taken a humongous bong hit. I was blown away by the lyrics and the way the songs stopped as if the tape was getting eaten or someone switched the radio station. Every time they played in Norman it was a big event. I have many great semi-partial memories of drinking cheap beers and smoking cigarettes in kitchens and backyards with Matt, Zeph, and Carol. I’m looking forward to the 20 year reunion tour. Let me know if you guys need a bass player.

Z - Our first show in almost a year. It was a benefit and just Matt and I played. Two guitars. We played 4 new songs.
And then it was over…
Matt- No more label, no more albums, no more tours. Thank you to every great person who extended a helping hand.
